Breast Cancer targeting black women in Washington, D.C.

Breast cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer in the District of Columbia, with Maryland and Virginia not far behind with higher rates than normal. According to Breast Cancer for Washington D.C., DC’s Ward eight has the highest incidents of breast cancer, holding a population that is 93 percent African American.
